THE
NEW DAY
is
a No-Wave Science Fiction Cinema featurette by video and animatronic artist
Bulk Foodveyor. This 45 minute long RK
Corral project provides grotesque, surreal satire and silly farce
regarding work ethic in the corporate environment, surveillance technology
and the medical industrial complex. It depicts the transformation of a
hapless anti-hero, Walter, who is a surveillance apparatus assembly line
worker . The New Day follows Walter through a labyrinth of corporate culture
and healthcare subterfuge, to a gyrating fruit lady who is both a figure
of espionage and repressed sexual longing, and into the concoction of
a malignant non-existing organ called the Utestis. Cheryl E. Leonard is
creating the soundtrack.
